Yes, it's the house the Eatons lived in for a while. They now live next door. I'm told it will be called the Fawcett Building.

As long as we can pay the rent and the membership is open to the idea, it would be interesting to offer some kind of after-school experience.

The sky is the limit and it depends on who is is interested. Shared studio space is definitely a possibility. BTW, Kevin, you could be defined as being a knowledge worker too, as there's lots of knowledge needed for your work. Please spread the word and let's get as many people as possible to help us figure out what can work in our community.

Virginia, thanks for the link.

Fantastic suggestion Harold, good luck! I see your stated rationale for a work commons is about knowledge workers...I think idea is interesting for other types of small business too, and look forward to coming on the 18th.

Harold, you might be interested in a model used by a museum in my area, MassMoCA. There were a group of struggling artists that wanted a place where they could show their art. They worked with the community and local businesses to bring both together. They help local artists by leasing studio space and showing their art. They also act as an incubator to small businesses by providing space and joint advertising, offering training and other support services. Although yours does not appear to be offering the arts, the model might work.

@Christopher yes, we should come up with a shorter Twitter hashtag - #sackcom maybe?

@jevon thanks; we plan on visiting the QSC and getting ideas & advice from them.

@kent - anything is possible, depending on our financial situation. Secure storage space would be something to look into. I think that selling produce would be a possibility, with Summer sales on the covered veranda.
