Hey Harold--thanks for posting this and getting me off my rear to write my own post (which I've been putting off for days). I think you're completely right about the "gentle hand" piece of it, although for me that was somewhat of a challenge at times. Of course, when I was busier, then it was easier. :-)

Thanks for being a great co-facilitator. I really enjoyed the experience!

@David thanks for the kind words

@Jennifer the term gentle hand came up in Paul Lowe's webinar, referenced here: http://www.jarche.com/2008/10/reflective-practice-using-blogs/

My feeling was that things went better with LESS guidance, and that exemplary behaviour was the best intervention, such as how to write a good blog post or choosing a video for sharing.

Thank you, Harold, for hosting the Work Literacy Ning. I learned a lot and implemented what I learned as well. I plan to participate in Corporate Learning Trends and Innovations next week. See you there.

Hi Harold,

I'm curious about the 'gentle hand' and wonder if the point is that more guidance was needed than you expected, or less?
What kind of guidance 'interventions' were effective? Not effective?
