I don't know how it works with these types of websites. Shouldn't be hard to try it, though.

Hey Harold,

How does Kwout handle websites that have screencasts or videos on them?

I'm not sure about this, Jacques; I'll have to check. I captured this image from the front page of the blog and then thought it would be best to link to the actual post, so I edited the HTML to that specific page:

Also, I've tried Kwout to capture a particular post from a blog, with a .html URL. Didn't work. (Error - Invalid page format). Seems it only captures the front page of a site (need to verify this, though).
Too bad, because I saw in Kwout the opportunity to add a screenshot of posts woth sharing...

I see that JingProject is made by TechSmith, the same folks who make Camtasia and SnagIt, both excellent products.

What I like about kwout though, is that there is no download required. On the other hand, if the kwout application goes down, I will then lose the image.

Hi Harold,

I've not tried Kwout, but I've found Jing (http://www.jingproject.com/) to be a very fast way of capturing screenshots or videos. They've build in a workflow which automatically uploads to either screencast.com, Flickr, or (via FTP) to your own space.
